If ever there was a time to make note of a very important social event… And this
occurs on the upcoming 4th and 5th of November… Black is Back Rally, march and conference in Washington, D.C., has arrived for the 8th year! If you think this is a year to skip out on, I ask you to please reconsider… Things have been escalating for for hundreds of years, but as we clearly see, things are getting even more increasingly out of control regarding hate crimes, racism and this government. So, any glimmer of hope a select few may have believed in should be more than clearly gone now (if it were ever even there.)

In my opinion it is more vital now than ever for social action and unity… SO! Below you will find all the information you need regarding the 8th Annual Black is Back Rally, March & Conference starting November 4th.

upcoming-Malcolm X Remembered at Real Talk Thursdays-2/23/17-NEWARK NJ!

malcolm-x-newark-black-and-hispanic-familiesThis week in Newark, NJ, there is a free, weekly, on-going, open to anyone group called REAL TALK THURSDAYS meeting up as done every Thursday, for an hour, to discuss matters of importance but not typically discussed. This weeks meeting will be the beautiful soul and man, Malcolm X & his importance to the Black Liberation Movement.

When I return back home I will be attending religiously; however for the time I am EXTREMELY sad –especially this week!!!- that I will be missing out on this weeks discussion. Malcolm X is a man I love and am very passionate about; he is a person history must not forget yet he is a person I don’t recall ever being in a text book in school.

This is an wonderful opportunity for the community to get together and shed the chains of racism and lies; to build unity within the community! Having these educational, intellectual conversation with others within the community leads to RE-education. RE-educate the mind, share your knowledge, discuss and learn more knowledge for yourself…Gain self love and empowerment for, this is key to building a stronger community and a stronger community is key to freedom...

Want to attend? Read the post below written by Bashir Akinyele, one of the chairmen of this much needed, finally REAL, place to go to discuss issues and topics that MATTER but are all too often “left out” or “forgotten”… Bashir Akinyele says of REAL TALK THURSDAYS:

“This program is an opportunity to discuss solutions to the problems affecting African Americans, Latino Americans, people of color, women, the youth, and humanity.”

And now, his article. PLEASE SHARE THIS EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT IN NEWARK!

“NEWARK, NJ – On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Black History Month Committee of Weequahic High School is sponsoring a free program this Thursday called REAL TALK THURSDAYS for the students and the larger community in Newark, NJ.  They are calling on the community to pack Weequahic High School’s auditorium at 279 Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey.

The event will begin at 7:00 pm and will end at 8:00 pm. The focus of the forum is to provide free weekly spiritual, cultural and political education discussions to empower, inspire, and organize African /African Americans, Latino Americans, people of color, and the entire human family.

This week’s forum topic will focus on the Importance of Malcolm X to the Black Liberation Movement. The community-based organizations helping to contribute to the weekly forums are the Newark Anti-Violence Coalition (N.A.V.C), New Jersey Communities United, and the Pan-Afrikan Muslim Association.

The Black History Month Committee was created by history teachers to organize programs and activities for February’s Black History Month at Weequahic High School for students and the community.

Bashir Akinyele, the Chairperson of the Black History Month committee and a history teacher at Weequahic High School, says,

Demand President Obama’s Word & Nomination of Neil Grouch Honored

From time to time I post a petition, reason being some may not think they work however they do. Rather, they can. I’ve seen it happen on legal levels to more minor levels. So defend-the-court-180please, sign and share. Posting from email received; to sign takes literally 5 seconds if you are a slow typist. I don’t care if you like President Obama or not. If you’re out there toting your patriotic crap, you should respect the process that currently is being denied.

If you are a normal, good person; you should just want the right thing especially under an administration as scary and dangerous as this.

Our racist, misogynistic, fascist president has nominated Neil Gorsuch to fill Antonin Scalia’s Supreme Court seat – the same seat Senate Republicans stole from President Barack Obama.

Trump promised to nominate someone ready to follow in Scalia’s extremist footsteps and he’s delivered on that promise. Gorsuch’s extreme record could guarantee another generation under a conservative Supreme Court that wages war on women, workers, poor people, voting rights and the environment while giving unprecedented power to corporations and religious extremists.

Progressive champion Sen. Jeff Merkley has promised to use the filibuster to force Senate Republicans to get 60 votes to confirm Gorsuch. We need to make sure Senate Democratic Leader Sen. Schumer and every other Senate Democrat stand with Sen. Merkley and use their power to stand up for women, LGBTQ people, immigrants, Muslims, people of color, workers, the environment and the bedrock principles of our democracy.

Tell Leader Schumer and all Senate Democrats: Block any Supreme Court nominee who won’t stand up for progressive values and the people most threatened by Trump’s dangerous agenda.

Killings and Cop Killings in The Black Community

To fight racism, united is needed… In Chicago alone these 700+ deaths are the highest since 1998… But that doesn’t mean we should forget about slave patrols aka cops who kill. Check the article, the video if you wanna hear my thoughts and get involved… Every person matters…And nothing lasts forever, we can stop this. img_6200

Article follows video but first, the words my friend and bro, Bashir Akinyele, wrote about it..

DO BLACK LIVES REALLY MATTER? I DO NOT THINK SO!

I am outrage to hear this heart breaking news! Chicago, Illinois is in a state of emergency! There have been over 701 murders in the city! Almost all the victims are people of color! If these victims were white, the entire country would stop to find a solution in Chicago right now! But the victims are black, no one seems to care!

Real talk, the Black and brown community is in bad shape! We must find a solution to this problem fast. Our people are dying a fast death to genocide!

Stop the shooting! Stop the Killing! Stop the Violence! Black Power! All Power to the People! Hotep! Peace in the Streets!

Article.

CHICAGO—Murders here surpassed the 700 mark Thursday, a somber tally not seen since the drug wars of the 1990s as the police department continues reforms aimed at regaining public trust.

Police say that 77 were killed in the month of November alone, which saw 316 shooting incidents and 389 victims. As of Dec. 1, 701 people had been murdered across Chicago, making this year the most violent since 1998.

Amid the spike, police…
