There is a young, Black male activist being held on $900,000.00 bond for NO REASON other than those above facts and the police feel threatened by someone who has his intelligence being involved in fighting for Black Lives Matter and equality. I hope by now that mostly everyone is at the VERY LEASTaware of Syria and the refugees all over the world, it’s sad to say there is still awareness being raised because, it at least seems, as though too many in this world simply do not care. The many horror Syrian’s have been undergoing the past few years and counting have been rejected by too much of the world, be it people or governments; so organizations such as International Rescue Committee (IRC),have taken it upon themselves to do what any and all of us able should do; especially our governments.
Now IRC and members of the cast of Game of Thrones have teamed up to raise money and awareness together. Before I go on, I have to give a quick rant and I apologize for it as I realize it’s uncalled for at this moment but I can’t help it:
If you know me, you should know I am 100% obsessedwith Game of Thrones; the book series, not HBO’s TV version. They’ve taken arguably the best story line and characters and tore it all apart, went to put it back together, forgot how it originally was and the end result is/was a mess. I watch the show as fan fiction even though it angers me beyond words lol. I’m passionate, damn it. The story is massively different; the characters personalities and roles are wrong, virtually everything is wrong with the show, if one asks me. X_X But I digress. *ahem* <Sorry.
One thing that’s NOT wrong, however, is what actors and actresses from the fan adaption of Game of Thrones have decided to do in regards to speaking out for Syrian refugees.

Though it’s sad this world needs to depend on entertainers to raise money and/or bring awareness to issues such as Syrian Refugees as well as the conflict in Syria, I think it’s highly respectable of every actor and actress involved in Rescue Has No Boundariesto be using their voice for these people… I admire them for standing up for the Syrian people and a world crisis that is not reported or covered enough or if so it is all too often misreported; the problems in Syria and the Syrian people who have been ignored and rejected for extremely too long.

The IRC is the only international relief agency working to help people still in Syria, as well as in countries such as Turkey and Greece that have received the bulk of people who have fled the war-torn nation. Headey explains in the clip that the IRC hopes to raise enough cash from the public to assist 3 million people.
Although people can donate on the IRC’s website, for the real super fans out there, the campaign has partnered with charity platform Omaze to raffle off cool Game of Thrones prizes, including a chance for supporters to hang with the cast at the season six premiere in April.
The violence and war will surely continue on upcoming episodes, but Headey and company are committed to peace.

As I say, BLACK LIVES MATTER, and so does Antwynette Houston and her little boy. After suffering brutal assault, after a funeral and as her 9 yr old watches from the car, she is left with her shoulder so shattered (is the best way I know to describe it) and what’s more; she is left to deal with it along with everything else on her own while the abusive, sadistic officer wanders around freely. Antwynette lives in tremendous pain from being a mother and worrying to physical and trauma and of course, due to the expensive surgery (SHE STILL NEEDS ONE MORE BUT HAS NO FUNDS! I’ve got her gofundme at the bottom along with her paypal) she has the constant threat of being without a home each month. This strong woman is holding up the world and I do wish we as activists against racism and police abuse could help every person in need, I know that’s a lot easier said than done.
I’m not asking for that. I‘m asking, pleading and begging with those who organize protests and accomplish so much via them to please, rally up and help boycott the Kentucky Derby so her state and local government will realize we are NOT going to take racism, hate, police violence and disrespect -to say the least- towards women!

She is the best mom in the world; she is raising a brilliant little boy and she is doing it all with love and care for him. It’s sad that we have to ask and engage in protests and boycotts just so this horrible government and the law enforcement ‘officials’ will give the victim the justice and/or health care/financial comp/etc not only deserved but what any human with a good soul would want to happen for her and her 9 year old child without her having to take any more action.
She doesn’t have the money to obtain the surgeries she needs from the horrifically broken shoulder this off duty officer shattered; after her last expensive surgery (off borrowed money) she now is forced to live with homelessness as a possibility every month… Beyond that it gets no better. Antwynette lives in horrible, excruciating pain while longing to get back to living her life as her and her child were… As she struggles with these traumas, she continues raising her brilliant son with the most love any child could need; I wish I could have had a mother like her; he is blessed and I know her strength and love will be the foundation of his healing.
I don’t have kids but I love them; I can only imagine how Antwynette feels as she tries to hold up all that’s going on around her, waiting for the day when perhaps justice of any sort will be given so she can heal physically and emotionally!
So many mothers suffer and worry…and hurt over the pain of their child. He didn’t deserve this; she sure as hell didn’t deserve this- and we as the people, the people who KNOW the truth and KNOW we can make a difference must stand up for victims… ALL victims; and we can! Spread knowledge if nothing else, please…. If we unite and get out and make it so no one can say they haven’t heard about this atrocity, then perhaps things will move along a bit faster.
In Chicago and all over we’ve managed to unite and protest. This strong Black mother along side her precious and intelligent little boy will survive and get through this; I know it- we cannot settle for anything less; we won’t!
But what about the RIGHT NOW? … Do people not know? Do you not care? Feel you can’t contribute or… why are YOU inactive towards this cause?

I found out around August 2014, a whole year later, that I needed another surgery and that my injuries were more severe than originally thought. I asked the Commonwealth Attorney Tom Wine to intervene and press charges against the officer, he refused. I’ve since filed a lawsuit against the city and Officer Scott Sturgeon.
Well now I’m upset! I’m broken physically, emotionally, and mentally; and quite frankly, I feel compelled to take action myself and try to use public support to persuade the City of Louisville (or Mayor of Louisville) to do the right thing by making me whole again and charging now retired officer Scott sturgeon with felony assault. I’m asking each and every citizen of the City of Louisville & across the country to stand with me, and tell the City of Louisville, Kentucky; Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky; and the Louisville Metro Police Department to acknowledge the Officer’s excessive use of force against me over a parking violation & charge him, to acknowledge the injuries caused to me by the officer, to publicly apologize to me, and most importantly, pay all of my medical expenses (past, present, and future) that are directly related to the officer’s excessive use of force against me.
Until the City of Louisville corrects this misdeed, I’m also asking each of you to join me in boycott of the 2016 Kentucky Derby horse races being held at Churchill Downs and also all festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby itself. I ask you to stand united with me, and please sign this petition to help right the injustice heaped on me. I sincerely thank you for any support you are willing to give me.”
As in my video I say, the petition is simply to say you will join the rest of us in boycotting the Kentucky Derby, which brings in tons of money to the corrupt town. If they see their numbers go down, that people want the government to treat ALL of us with care, concern, respect and medical attention that is deserved beyond a doubt to victims, this is the most basic and mandatory of actions; give medical care to those in need!
Please spread the word; please let us find a way to give her relief from all the burdens she has had to hold up, not only as a mother, but ALL of it; from the mental and emotional to the financial stress and pain, she has suffered! And let no one forget, the extreme and very painful injury she received by an off duty officer.
She lives in pain, every, day. She’s a kind and good woman and mother; shouldn’t we do all we can to give her the kindness she deserves? Shouldn’t we be fighting hard as we can to demand her suffering to stop?!

In Kentucky, one early morning, Antwynette Houston pulled into a shop with her 9 year old son. Imagine if this were you. Imagine the trauma both her and her child endure both mentally and she also was severely physically wounded.
An off duty police officer approached her over something as insane as how her car was parked….
This guy for all she knew could have been anyone, he just stated he was a cop, and refused, refused, to call the police or show his badge; in any way identify himself as an actual cop. After verbally harassing her for awhile, she was dragged out of her car and brutally attacked by an off duty police officer. 
Turns out he wasn’t even an officer, he’s a Sergent- doesn’t work the streets – but felt the need to harass this Black woman over ‘how she was parked.’ For that, she winds up being yanked out of her car -after she told him she had just had surgery a year prior,- breaks her shoulder & causing other serious injuries.
I feel her telling you is so much more powerful than anything I can say, so I beg you to please watch her video. She is in need of a 3rd surgery; in need of attention and justice. Let’s do all we can to help her get her life back on track- lord knows what this has done to her traumatically… This is exactly why we -anyone who cares for human rights in general but especially Black Lives Matter- need to help and bring attention to her traumatic case…

Now this is a good idea for a writing prompt or any form of art prompt really.
However, the thing is, this tragically still is happening right now just under a different name. Slavery and the exploiting labors that brought so much money in to the very White House and National Mall in Washington, D.C., wouldn’t be here if not for the souls whom were sold to the government to build at the cheapest of cheap price; which the Black man would not every get to see.
Most of what this country has is due to the men and women of this era yet we have one puny month to honor the history and culture of Blacks in America? When is “white history month” I hear people moan; every single month, every single day, you dumb ass! Seriously! Though we must never forget the horrors these men, women and children faced, we must also remember that even the month given to “Black history” is a sham. How many people can say they learned this tiny bit of information in school, even during “Black History Month”?
There is so much more to “Black History” than a couple of weeks cannot shove it all in, but they don’t even try! It’s Dr. King, slavery, civil rights.
Sadly, again, as I originally said…. the souls in this photo are being forced to do work for free; in America right now for something as stupid as a person caught with weed, or even more tragic is when the person goes to jail on mandatory; silence is heard. Here, where the Black population is highly and sickeningly overflowing (this and drugs all the way to Black on Black crime, can find root within the marked out lines of FOIA FBI papers where Hoover blatantly, even between the lines with no heart or shame, calls upon the American FBI to “divide and conquer the Black community”). The CIA admits its role in planting crack and guns into Black ghettos. What more evidence is needed?
Slavery? Racism? That doesn’t exist anymore, too many dismiss. I look at you and smile not; racism and slavery exists more than ever because it is hidden in plain sight.
Oh but wait; it isn’t over. The prison industry and the Private Prisons make this “free labor, slave labor” all obtainable again. BLACK MEN BUILT THE CAPITOL -check it out here on goodreads. This is the kinda history I want to know. What else are you trying to hide, America??
Sad reality… But WHY?!? … This is absolutely wrong not just morally but -and obviously- also wrong in regards to each description society puts on said “groups”. Prime example of what I was talking about in this post and video…
Absolutely asinine.. How dare these people whom are not just Black but ALSO women think they have the right to travel in groups; especially together with other aware, intelligent Black women! On top of that, how dare they have the audacity to LAUGH while riding transportation! *SARCASM NOTED* This is sickening. Racism has never died in America, but it is becoming more and more blatant. As I always say, the Black community sadly has it the hardest here in America; but a Black woman has TWO strikes to fight against for obviously she is also a woman. There is no stronger soul than that of a strong woman, especially a strong Black woman, if one wants to know my opinion.
When Nelson Mandela was in prison, he was asked what he thought about, or who he would vote for (it’s been awhile so I’m paraphrasing) between the two idiots running for President of South Africa (sorry but I call em as I see em). He replied he’d rather the blunt, outspoken racist win over the other one, for at least then you know where the racism is and what their oppressive, racist plans are. In America we are faced with a similar situation. Too many whites shamefully don’t want to admit that racism is still thriving; that helps no one.
Again, I call em as I see em, and denying racism (and believing it true) in America takes a special mind to say the least. I’ve been fighting racism most of my life and racism in Police Brutality since I was 14… In a way I am glad that racism is becoming more blatant and in our face, for I think at least when it’s in the peoples face, they will eventually HAVE to acknowledge racism for what it is; and act or revolt accordingly. I am ready to revolt NOW, a racist is the lowest form of a being I can think of. For the fight against racism and police brutality I would proudly give my life; this has to change. These women (and countless other women and men) do NOT deserve this treatment. Please don’t mistake what I am saying; it hurts me to see other people hurt and treated with far less respect and kindness than they deserve. I believe if it is to end, we need more people to wake up and treated It is horrific and tragic they had to endure it; HOWEVER, at least it is becoming more and more clear and visible as to how these evil people truly feel; at least they are letting it show with sick pride… This is to OUR ADVANTAGE, but that doesn’t by any means make it acceptable or right.
I’m only saying is the more obvious the racism, the higher the chance to wake up and ‘recruit’ more for our fight back (which is 100% called for and justified!) against this disgusting, racist system. When our numbers grow, we will make sure justice is given; not a false lie or the same racist problem simply given with a white smile and new name.
It’s time! As noted in a previous post, there is one more addition to my activism now… So, besides Police Brutality, Prison, “War on Drugs”, etc I also will be writing about Bull Terriers, Pit Bulls in particular, trying to end the stigma. I want to warn anyone who is planning on reading this that it is full of facts, but I do apologize for the ending when I break out into a rant about the prison industry… But I can’t help it; they have the wrong people in, the wrong people are free to walk the streets; and dog fighting is still going on… Even more than that, though, is taking the blame and being used as the scapegoat are the innocent dogs.
I can say with all honesty, nothing hurts my heart and soul more than seeing an innocent, defenseless or broken spirited soul either being hurt, previously hurt or fed up with living. I am extremely passionate about police brutality victims just as I am women who are verbally abused by zealots who ignore science and medicine (not to mention the concept of a woman having a life, or, giving a child a humane life). Those are only two issues that enrage me. Lies outrage me, and if you can handle reading the research, facts and statistics below, hopefully you’ll be just as out raged as I am.
Before we get into facts, let me introduce you to my Guardian… An escaped Pit Bull puppy, who was on her last legs when I found her. But I nursed her back to health, helped her overcome fears (see mini novel below and it’ll make sense) and now she is happy; not afraid to be an innocent, loved and semi spoiled dog; just as she should be. I am so anxious to get back home- she gives me a reason to smile, to wake up, to hope and laugh. She is a gift, and I love her, am grateful for her, more than I can say.
