-Domestic Abuse / Violence Laws & Information-

PLEASE BARE WITH ME AS I TRY TO ORGANIZE BOTH THIS AND THE INTERNATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PAGES! THEY ARE BOTH A MESS AT THE MOMENT, BUT WITHIN THE WEEK I HOPE TO HAVE THEM A LOT MORE ACCEPTABLE! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE, EMAIL ME! Thank you….

You are NOT alone! And there are so many people who will not judge you, but help you, or even just listen… Please, reach out and grab one of your hands… You don’t have to live abused anymore… Easier said than done, I know… But please, don’t give up. NOTHING is wrong with you.

By no means is this
a complete; a work in progress, please check back often! 🙂

MOST OF US HAVE HEARD THE GRIM STATISTICS. Every day across America, four to five women are murdered by an intimate partner or ex, most of them within three to six months of a breakup.”- Cosmopolitan

Domestic abuse comes in many shapes, forms and methods. It can be sinister and mess with your mind, it can be blatant (i.e., bruises, broken bones) and STILL mess with your mind. But the thing to keep in mind is: it is not your fault and you are NOT crazy.

Domestic Abuse is an issue close to my soul because I have grown up watching the woman I love with all my heart suffer from every sort of imaginable abuse. I hope this section will help her and any other woman in that situation. (Click the image below for a clear view of the text; it will open in a new tab, as all photos on this page will do.) =)

Here is how this page works – rather simple… 🙂

First are resources, if you scroll down a bit more you will come across random facts and such on domestic abuse.

Domestic Abuse Comes in MANY Forms
Domestic Abuse Comes in MANY Forms

Remember, domestic abuse doesn’t have to be physical for it to be abuse. In the future I will be including a section on what domestic abuse does to children both in the short term and long term. In the near future I will have legal information and legal guides up also! But for now, below are resources and a bit of information.

Again, please click to see image more clearly 🙂

If you are in an abusive relationship, please… get out. Don’t stay for the kids, I can attest to the fact that we’d rather you leave than watch the person who is our shining star and strength be hurt by ANY sort of abuse. We know, even if you think we don’t. And yes, it does impact us.

(PS- The photos on this page, as well as the resources, I have collected over the years. I am not sure where they all are from, if it is your work please simply notify me and I will of course give due credit.)

As always, if you have questions, please contact me. If you are outside of the United States/Canada/United Kingdom, PLEASE click HERE for resources that are more than likely to be of more help to you, I hope 🙂

Resources [Will Update Weekly or More so Please Check Back]

Healing IS possible…

If you are looking for help within your state or just someone to talk to, please scroll down to the state hotline area 🙂 again, more will be added off and on so please, check back.)

Preparing to leave an abusive relationship – (many more sites are available on this, and I do advise talking with someone regarding a plan if possible… but I also know, from personal experience, sometimes that is not possible. I also know it sometimes is also good just to read information, and have your own thoughts and plans well organized so…I’ll be adding more, but for now….)
