Access to Plan B, Birth Control & Real Sex Ed is Vital

Ahhh New York City, can’t even begin to say how proud I am of my home city right now. So inspired to see this. =) and Ahhh Bloomberg, how I can’t stand you.

Many have turned to the morning after pill known as Plan B when the undesired and unexpected happens; there is no shame in that; in regards to teenagers especially. With lack of proper and clear communication with teens regarding sexuality, both from parent(s) and in schools, to me it’s very obvious why we have so many pregnant children/teenagers…Why we have so many Brenda’s.

Rap today may mostly be nonsense…but Tupac has a message, this one based on a true story of a young teenage mother and her baby… It’s a video all people; parents, teens, pro-abortion, pro-choice and anti’s alike should watch and think about… I am not suggesting this is the case always, by any means, but I am saying this is a reality. A hard one, maybe not one that is exactly like the sad truth the song and video show; but the dynamics of the life and the reasons and fears and choices are very often in a very, very similar category. (My Opinion.)

It makes me so happy to see it is (and has been for awhile) accessible to young women in high schools across New York City and a few other cities. NYC, I am so proud to say, has been offering a service to students for access to Plan B for even longer. Sure, there are some issues, but they could easily be smoothed out if people were willing to work together and put their “embarrassment” over a natural act aside.
