United States Army is Training Elite Special Forces Within LOCAL American Police Departments… Why?…

This is information everyone needs to know, realize that it is not something out of a novel but actually happening and a massive threat to our freedom and our lives. Manning, Snowden and Assange, and all alike them, are my heroes. Please take the time to read, research, learn, spread the info…. what would Martin Luther King JR or Malcolm X or Tupac Shakur (a personal inspiration) think of the state of this world?

They’d think we need to get our shit together and find a way to fix this and/or save ourselves; from the NSA privacy invasions that have gone on for decades which are only growing more intrusive…to the extreme police brutality going on in America.

There is no terrorism that they are fighting; it’s a cop out, a scare tactic… This is a blatant attack on the citizens of this country.

Unwarranted NSA surveillance, the passage of NDAA, stop and frisk programs, and the rise of warrior cops, have essentially turned America into a centralized police state.

Blurring the lines between the U.S. military and local sheriff departments sets a dangerous precedent that erodes freedom and civil liberties.

Those lines are being blurred right now in South Carolina.

According to The State, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department will participate in secretive joint exercise Monday and Tuesday with unnamed units from Ft. Bragg.

84 Yr Old Man Viciously Beaten for Jaywalking and Not Speaking English in NYC…

This story is all over the news, as it should be, however I can’t stress enough that this is sadly not the first 84-year-old man to be beaten by the police over nothing. However, I’ll keep this post focused, for once.

On the Upper East Side in NYC Kang Wong, 84, jaywalked across an intersection. Who does he think he is!? (Sarcasm.) According to witness reports, the man apparently struggled to understand -or perhaps didn’t understand at all- the cops demands to stop. I’d like to take this opportunity to say, Mr. Wong apparently does not speak English. Which is all well and good but not when the cops are involved; they don’t care if you are mentally ill, mentally disabled, blind, deaf (scroll through my posts)… to them, you are fair game.

Today, Council Members Jumaane D. Williams, Brad Lander, Robert Jackson, Fernando Cabrera, Rosie Mendez, and Melissa Mark-Viverito called on Mayor Bloomberg to hold a hearing for public comment on the recently passed Community Safety Act. The Council Members highlighted the importance of a public hearing, particularly in light of recent nationwide discussions and protests focused on the need to ban profiling.

It has been common practice under the Bloomberg administration to hold such hearings, so that New Yorkers can speak directly to the mayor about their support or opposition to legislation.

“Too often in debates like these, policymakers from some of the city’s wealthier and safer neighborhoods decide what is best for low-income communities and communities of color without actually listening to the members of those communities.
We hope you will allow New Yorkers to give you their thoughts directly, for or against the legislation, before you decide whether to sign or veto it.”

The Community Safety Act passed the City Council in June by a supermajority, following extensive hearings before the City Council’s Public Safety, Civil Rights, and Oversight and Investigations Committees. The bill was improved by input from elected officials, law enforcement, and other members of the public.

Passage of the legislation marks the culmination of years of advocacy and community organizing by New York’s civil rights movement, including 2012 march, in which tens of thousands of New Yorkers marched against the NYPD’s stop, question, and frisk policy.
