Woman Striving to Make NYC Hero, Maurice Osborne, Dreams a Reality; & You Can Help

Remember the man in the photo, Maurice Osbourne? He is the virtuous, honorable, gentleman, whom selflessly put his safety and life aside to protect a woman he didn’t know from being raped. Afterwards, when no one would assist him in escorting the sick pervert to the police, he did it by himself. He is studying to be a medical assistant, currently lives in a shelter in Brooklyn, and deserves so much love, respect and kindness given back to him. I say this as a female from NYC and as a survivor. Maurice Osbourne is a hero in my eyes. Below you’ll find his story, or you can find it in a previous post, located here.

Thankfully, another woman as thankful to this sweet, brave man as I am, wanted to do something nice for him. So she has started a GoFundMe page to help him get out of the shelter he is staying in and into his own place as well as pay his school debt and complete the rest of his education to be a Medical Assistant, Thus far $20,000 (give or take) has been raised. I am a volunteer on behalf of a group of New York women who read Mr. Osborne’s story and wanted to personally thank him for his courageous actions. We are all locally based and wanted to show our appreciation for keeping our commutes safer.

14 Year Old Raped, Committs Suicide, Rapist Gets a Month Sentence

A middle-age school teacher (Stacey Rambold, 54), raped (3 times) a 14 year old student by the name Cherice Morales. Cherice would go on to kill herself before her 17th birthday, while the case against him was still pending (which is blood on HIS hands).

The rapist, Rambold, on the other hand, still lives and will shortly walk free as he has been given the reduced sentence of only 31 days! Perhaps not even that long, as the Judge in this case, whom appears more than sympathic with the rapist, has given him a credit for one day he had already spent in jail.

How… Why?

Why is America Allowed to Monitor and/or Imprison the Wrong People?

“The United States has about 5 percent of the world’s population, but we have 25 percent of the world’s prisoners – we incarcerate a greater percentage of our population than any country on Earth,” said Michael Jacobson (the director of the non-partisan Vera Institute of Justice, also running the NYC jail and probation systems throughout the ’90s.

Though we all know Facebook, in partnership with the government (and many others), monitor us and have been spying on innocent citizens via Facebook with the excuse that is for “national security” when actually it only really seems to aid in arresting people for things as insane as a teenager making a sarcastic remark to hunting down people who for using drugs.

Plans for Resource Pages for Victims of Domestic Abuse & The Like

Over the next week I will be working on numerous projects as well as attending some personal business, but as I can, I am working on putting up more info, resources, links, hotlines, shelter locations and the like for abused women and men in North America as well as all over the world.

Right now both pages are a bit of a mess, please bare with me as I do this. Regardless of where you are from, if you have a page I either have not listed or probably would not know about regarding abuse, rape, abortion (helpful pro-abortion ONLY) please comment or email for it to be included…

I have been impacted pretty much by everything I write about on this site in one way or another. I also know how hard it is to find resources, especially when in distress. My hope and goal for the pages on my site are to provide a “one stop” for people in need. Please bare with me as I work on building these pages up.

In the near future, I will be creating a “sister” page to this site dedicated solely to racism, the prison industry and the war on the people, aka, the war on drugs as well as drug and legal information. One step further, I also would like a mental health page up….But one step at a time, aye? 🙂

Thanks again to all the readers who have stayed with me as I have been going through this silent spell, and a huge thanks to the new ones also… I will return to my normal writing self soon, hopefully with a lot of improvements!

 

Deric Lostutter & Anonymous are Heroes- Help Those Who are Against Rape !

 RAPISTS SHOULD BE IN PRISON -Not Heroes or Non-Violent Offenders. – Especially not Heroes.

Anonymous is more of a hero than the government’s of the world will ever be. I respect them and what they do much more than the government, for the government has failed and continues to fail against crimes against women. There are many reasons I feel there is no hope in humanity, and this is one. Why are people not outraged that the high school football players who raped, photographed, joked…

Most Incarcerated, Most Violent, The American Way

And we are still the most violent, why? Because the majority in prisons are in for drug offenses – they do not belong in prison. They need help not punishment, it solves and helps no one. Except those profiting from it. Child molesters, rapists, murderers, etc.. They should be in prison, but represent less than 10% of the american prison population. As KRS1 says, “why is that?”

I rarely watch movies but this is an excellent clip to sum it up,…

Excellent Resource for Abused Women Internationally!

I am working on so many projects at the moment… But this is vital information, I believe. It is an international website with abundant information for victims of both rape and/or domestic abuse. The website is called the “International Directory of Domestic Violence Agencies”, it is available in over 100 languages. Whether you are in America, England, Cairo; wherever, this website is full of information regarding things such as your legal rights regarding domestic violence and much, much more.

I plan on finally updating the domestic violence *page* at the top ^ with a lot of other resources and summaries of each state’s laws regarding domestic violence, but until then I truly believe this is a website vital to all women AND men 🙂 check it out by clicking HERE.

Outraged by Book Bans In General – But the Kite Runner & Maya Angelou ?!

(Trigger warning: out of respect, I want all reader’s to know this article mentions ra**- Not graphic, but… I know triggers can be as easy as seeing the full word so…there we are.)
I don’t agree with banning books from society, however, I can understand why a child’s parents would not want them to read a detailed rape scene, or even a sex scene for that matter. But if that scene is removed so a child can read it without being scarred, I see no reason why they should not have an abridged version available for certain books… Especially the two books below!!!

So while drug offenders and people in for minor offenses or parole violations are stuck in prison for an insane amount of mandatory years, rapists, among others who are “real” threats to society, walk around freely.  Starting to see the problem yet?!
