Abortion Questions & Updates on Upcoming Projects -Video!

Just another video by yours truly 🙂 discussing upcoming writings, research I am currently doing as well as projects that I’ll soon be sharing.

One of these projects is an upcoming video- I am not a medical doctor so I don’t offer any medical advice however based on what I know about abortion as well as based on my own personal experience, I am asking any woman who is considering abortion, be it late term or with the abortion pill, to please send me questions via youtube or to my email.

I have enough questions to answer in video now, but in case there is anything I am missing I think I’ll wait a day or two and see if anyone sends in any new questions not already received. Some Continue reading Abortion Questions & Updates on Upcoming Projects -Video!

63 Days Left and We’re Still Standing with Texas Women.

If you are in Texas- (areas) Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin tonight or tomorrow, please make sure to check out this post and take a stand with the women of Texas!

ImageOur Founder and CEO, Amy Hagstrom Miller, had the privilege of participating in a panel last night with Heather Busby of NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, Christian Cabazos of YWCA Greater Austin, Amelia Long of The Lilith Fund, and Paula X. Rojas of Vibrant Woman/Mama Sana. The panel served as a great discussion of what’s coming with House Bill 2, when the lawsuit will be announced, and what it means when physicians are required to have hospital admitting privileges. Though there wasn’t time to answer everyone’s questions, the overall atmosphere was upbeat, productive, and it seemed that the discussion helped many people find peace of mind.

These Stand with Texas Women events will continue throughout the week with an even tonight in Fort Worth and an event in Dallas on Thursday. If you’re in Austin tomorrow or on Thursday, you can also participate in a

Without Accessible and Affordable #Abortion Clinics, Women Are At a Great Risk.

So Anti, you care for human life, huh? I’ve read all kinds of arguments from it will kill women to it’s only about them taking women’s rights away to lies made about the medical process of an abortion.

Story All Should Read- 1 Woman’s Story of Being Arrested For Standing Up For Beliefs & Justice

Reporting an article I feel everyone should read and ask the, selves why others think they have the right to control a woman’s body and medical choices.

Post begins:
You’ve seen the news: When they thought no one was looking last week, state senators in North Carolina tucked several dangerous attacks on women’s health into an unrelated bill. Legislation originally meant to — yes, you’re reading this right — ban “Sharia Law” in North Carolina will now also severely restrict a woman’s ability to make deeply personal, private decisions about her pregnancy by restricting access to safe and legal abortion.

North Carolina has a proud history as a pro-choice beacon in the South. In the 1930s, we were among the first states in the country to have a state-funded family planning program. We liberalized our abortion laws before Roe v. Wade. In 1976, Congress passed the Hyde Amendment, cutting off Medicaid funding for abortion services for women with low incomes. North Carolina responded by setting up a state abortion fund, which at one point amounted to $1.5 million a year. When I started working for Planned Parenthood in 1982, North Carolina had a model, age-appropriate K-12 sex education curriculum.

Everything has changed.

Don’t Be Ashamed of Abortion – Let’s Not Go Back in Time America…

Another pro-choice, aka, pro-life post from yours truly. Today I said one of many reasons I support abortion. Of course, anti-choice/anti-life attackers came to debate. I don’t debate online, especially on twitter, because it’s pointless. Same argument that has no legitimacy and what they were saying was not even relevant to what I said. Because of a serious family issue I was in no mood to argue. But now, I think I will sit here and write a nice rant for all to read.

Abortion saves women from suicide.

photoThought I’d try writing it out for you guys 🙂

I did not say the majority of pregnant women attempt suicide, I said, it saves women from it. Continue reading Don’t Be Ashamed of Abortion – Let’s Not Go Back in Time America…

Abortion Dr. Tiller-LONDON- Screening & ScreenTalk-July 6- East End Film Festival

If you are in the UK – especially London, be sure to check out the film selection regarding the heroic and inspiring Dr. Tiller. A man dedicated to what he believed in, only to be murdered by one of the insane anti-choice/”pro”-lifers. Check it out July 6th, London!!! (information follows below as does link, I must give a very, very quick rant first.

It’s simply astonishing how pro”lifers” support an unjust death penalty system here in the states, yet hate doctors whom perform safe and moral medical practices so much that these “pro-lifers” (aka anti-choicers) somehow think killing innocent adult for caring for his patients is somehow, moral!? Umm, what we do medically is no one’s business, anyway. These “people”‘disgust me.

As a woman who in fact does support 3rd term abortions, and does not consider it murder (because…well…it’s not, simply put), I wish so badly I was in the UK to attend… It seems I’m always in the wrong country or city when things like this happen >.< anyhow! So London & all you in the UK who can go; below are the details and the link for tickets & etc. Ohhh I wanna go!!!

ABORTION is NOT EVIL, Nor “Wrong” & There’s No Wrong Way to Feel During or After

First, this is a personal post. Don’t wanna know, don’t read. I am writing this mainly for women who hear what I was told today and actually wonder if it is true. That is, abortion means you are _________.  As I say in the rant below, abortion doesn’t make you anything bad. If anything, it makes you stronger. It shows your intelligence in knowing what is right for you and your life.

Before I begin, apologies for the lack of posting and tweeting recently. I am working on getting my art site completed and up, as well as a few others. I’ll be linking soon 😀 People may not notice my absence but still, if anyone does, I do apologize but there’s a reason which is I’ve been busy dealing with some other aspects of life. ******* Again, post from my personal experience today. Don’t wanna read it, then…don’t. If you do, thank you and I mean it when I say, if you need someone, I am here.

Today, though, I had a very disappointing experience. I have a doctor I see regularly when I stay in Texas…it is very rare for me to find a doctor I actually like, but he has always seemed to be an intelligent, thoughtful and kind older man. Respectful, seemed to really care for his patients, etc. Continue reading ABORTION is NOT EVIL, Nor “Wrong” & There’s No Wrong Way to Feel During or After
