Sandra Bland’s Mother Speaks Truth to Activists

Sandra Bland’s mother, Geneva Reed-Veal, speaks out and she does it far better than I. She also makes real points that we as activists against racism and against police brutality as well as all forms of government racial brutality and injustice need to think and act on.

She speaks of other beautiful Black women killed in similar ‘incidents’ in 2015. Click here to go through their photos and stories. It will open in a new window.

Who Am I to Speak on Racism?

Don’t believe racism is real? Look at Tamir Rice vs Jeremy Mardis, for an example. As I say in my video, if you cannot see this blatant racism in America you are CHOOSING to be blind.

After many messages I’m back and ready to start this channel, for real… This video is re: my skin color, my relationship with racism & why I speak on it and police brutality. Also a bit on why I’ve been gone. And then there’s a bit in here about the blatant impact of racism in the white community and within the government… Thank you to every single soul who has stood with me during hard times. Next video will be on the research reports I do and when I’ll be putting them out, in addition to other upcoming topics. Don’t

And with that, I’ll have a new one up soon. I’m back on it whether it matters or not. =)

The Blatant, SAD Double Standard for Black & White Victims

Below is a brief video I mad out of frustration regarding how police brutality, racism and accountability are different things for every person depending mainly on the color of your skin. I can’t wrap my head around that thought, but anyway…
In it I talk about cases I’ll be going into more depth over in upcoming videos, as noted, I took a break to get this off my chest; but it’s truth and I think that’s easy to see. *Before I go any further, no child should die, no person regardless of age or race should be murdered. My point here is why is there such a major difference in reaction to the murdering of a white child and the murdering of a Black child? In this video I talk about previous cases regarding children whose lives were stolen by police, but we need only look to present day to see the difference in treatment between Black victims and white victims. That is a simple and plain fact.

The media [for-profit media] will try to slander the character of any Black victim, trying to brainwash those watching mindlessly into believing that the police were actually in the right. Instead of blindly accepting their opinion and “statements” why not look into the issue yourself if you must judge? Or better yet; why is it we can’t see with great clarity that no one, especially a child, should be murdered by the police?

And when a child or a person of any age is killed or beaten, why are we not holding the cops to a higher standard; why are they allowed to walk…so long as the child is not white that is.

Jeremy Mardis death is tragic and my heart goes out to his family. But Tamir Rice and countless others (currently what the main video I’m working on, will post soon) don’t get the same treatment, attention, respect or closure and that’s not right; that’s not justice! All deaths by cops should at the very least be treated as Jeremy’s tragic and premature death. But the majority are not; regardless of age or circumstance… It all comes down to race; and that is a huge problem. A huge problem we all need to unite and fight to change…Together.

This, needs to change…. No matter the race, color, gender, etc- no one should be killed. But, dealing with the reality that too many innocent lives are being taken by cops in America we must face the facts. Racism is very evident, cops should NOT BE ALLOWED TO MURDER OR BEAT ANYONE WHOM IS NOT WHITE; THEY SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO MURDER PERIOD! That’s my point.

The thumb nail photo brings tears to my eyes; I work with kids who confide things like this; my friends kids confide feelings like this… To see the site, please visit http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2015/01/cleveland_students_racism_viol.html#3
