Black Lives Matters- New Vid- Please don’t Give up

I apologize for the length, it’s bit of ‘personal’ video i guess, or how racism by cops has impacted me and still impacts me …. But it’s being said for a reason.

I’m ashamed to say that because of the ‘color’ and tone of my skin i am given a “pass go” card; i don’t want that shyt never have. But sadly that’s real. But that judgment they make right there on skin color proves racism against non-‘whites’ is -for lack of better words- STUPID, IMMATURE, SMALL MINDED BS. It’s NOT real nor true they just want people to think it is. Sadly too many do buy into mainstream media; my hope is though that some at least will open their eyes.
In this video I share the pain I’ve seen all my life, the pain that I still feel horrific grief over; and that’s Black children, family, friends, kids I worked with, etc,…. all sharing the same fear of COPS.
I end by asking anyone down to please hit me, I have an idea and work to prove it, I just need to find a group of real people to talk to… Please do…

Never Forget Geronimo Pratt …

It’s hard to say or admit. It re-enforces the notion that this is up to us now, all those of the original Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army,  etc, it’s now on this generation and we gotta make it count because nothing’s getting better… There is so much I could and should say, but I feel speechless as lame as that seems…I’ll find a way to write something more fitting and more honorable for Geronimo Pratt one day I’ll find the right words… For now, all my mind and heart can conjure is a deep sadness for his lost life.

May your soul be blessed, Geronimo Pratt…And may your souls next journey be full of blessings, love and gratitude….As we are thankful for that which you gave us during your time on earth…. Blessed be, dear soul…

Looking through some of Tupac’s writings I found this short essay he wrote…sadly I believe it to still be relevant today so I decided I’d read and share…

Sandra Bland’s Mother Speaks Truth to Activists

Sandra Bland’s mother, Geneva Reed-Veal, speaks out and she does it far better than I. She also makes real points that we as activists against racism and against police brutality as well as all forms of government racial brutality and injustice need to think and act on.

She speaks of other beautiful Black women killed in similar ‘incidents’ in 2015. Click here to go through their photos and stories. It will open in a new window.

In Third Grade this Black Child Is Denied Equal Education-

This precious Black male is a 3rd grader by the name of Edmund. He’s an outstanding student, he already has a 3.83 GPA and he has above average scores as well as above average when it comes to his school’s test scores; language arts, math, and science. Just as importantly, he has a huge, giving heart. His mom says:

“We attribute his success to doing our best as parents and the great education he is getting at a local charter school, Gateway Science Academy.”

segregation, racism, donald trump, black children, school, education, white supremacy

But apparently the human and soul this child possess doesn’t matter nor do his achievements. At least, not to the state of Missouri. He misses his friends as he has attended the school since kindergarten. Staff at Gateway Science Academy want to have this law changed; some of the teachers and staff have signed his petition to allow him to attend the school.

But again; a huge slap has hit right in our face as this gifted and talented 3rd grader is being denied the right to equal treatment and equal opportunity.  The racism against the Black community would struggle to be any more blatant than what this child and his family he is going through.

His mother was informed he would be able to attend the school if they moved St. Louis county, as opposed to St Louis. But that is not why he is not allowed to go back to his school. A white child would be able to transfer schools in his situation; this is strictly because he is Black.

That and the Missouri government not only refusing to take action immediately -as they should- but furthermore, some educational boards in the state or area of STL are trying to deny it is about race and that this could happen to anyone. Thankfully not all are so stupid and at least own up to the fact that it has to do with a past desegregation law -from 1980s- which is hampering Black children rather than helping them.

There are some as I said who at least admit that white kids would be allowed to transfer and this is due to the color of his freaking skin! Anyone whom could stand behind this has to be soulless; absolutely heartless.

This is an ACTIVE STATE LAW, EXISTING TODAY IN MISSOURI. To quickly summarize this law (I’ll provide links below) in the 1980s the state of Missouri created a law which was supposed to let Black children desegregate and allow them to enter white schools. That same law is now preventing Black children that live in the country from transferring to a city school.

As his mother has said, IF IT WERE SIMPLY DUE TO CHANGE IN LOCATION THAT HE COULD NOT ATTEND SHE WOULD UNDERSTAND. BUT IT IS NOT DUE TO THEIR CHANGE IN LOCATION AND THIS IS ADMITTED AND WRITTEN IN LAW.

It’s actually legal, STILL, in Missouri to say he cannot live in one location and also continue receiving the preferred, higher quality education, for one reason and one reason only: he is Black.

“He is such a humble kid. His teacher told me that one of the first things she thought was that he was going to come in and be all like, I’m cool. He comes in like nothing’s happened. But he does think it’s pretty cool. He’ll ask me every day, ‘Mom, how many signatures do we have on our petition?’ He’s excited about that.”

But, she added, the family realizes that its drive to keep Edmund where he is might not succeed.

The ACTUAL problem is the state government’s refusal to change the law despite the schools wishes, parents wishes and of course, the child’s wishes. But as of yet, the government isn’t willing to do the moral and intelligent thing and get rid of a law which discriminates and dismisses any Black student from receiving the same quality education their white peers or classmates receive without issue.

“In the long range, how might the broader situation be changed to avoid future situations like Edmund’s? Glaser at VICC admits he doesn’t have a definitive answer. He notes that the current program won’t be allowed to continue forever, but he isn’t sure what will replace it, or who will draw up the rules.” [More Below]

This is absolutely outrageous, heartbreaking and I hope this family and the community will fight to hell and back over. What’s more is some of you white people have the audacity to deny being light skinned means you have a privilege others don’t. I HATE THIS ‘PRIVILEGE’!!!!

And you better believe I would give it away in a second unless all people could receive it!… However, it sickens me to say that is not how things are right now and white people need to wake up, realize and stop their racist behaviors, become aware and stop taking advantage of a racist, unjust country. Instead whites need to admit the truth, no matter how shaming it is, how enraging and demeaning it makes one feel. I loathe it; I loathe sharing the skin tone of people who inflict things such as this upon others due to skin color.

I am lucky and grew up in the Black community. From a very young age I saw the racism and at 14 I saw a Black male crying as he was hogtied, laid face down while cops ignored his pleas for help and asked each other how they were doing. I watched as this man cried, begged for help, called out for others, and I watched in sheer hatred as his soul left his body.

When he left, I felt a part of myself leave me. Something died within me as he was allowed by the police to suffocate to death because he had fallen asleep in White Castle. He had narcolepsy and so of course the cops were called. Cops. Around 20 were there when he left this earth. He had done NOTHING.

Since then, I’ve used these past 10 years to fight back against racism especially with the police department and victims. It’s far worse than makes the media; and what makes the media is not even a tiny fraction of this horrific terrorism too many people have to live with.

SO DO NOT DARE APPROACH ME AND TELL ME RACISM IS NOT REAL. Any white person that blind looks like the idiot, ignorant, racist fool or cruel fool that they are. It’s disgraceful to those who actually give a damn.

Change needs to come. Let’s get this child what he deserves; the best school he can attend and make sure as hell the state of Missouri doesn’t REST until this racist law is removed!

Petition his mom is asking everyone to sign.

As the controversy surrounding Edmund’s plight persists, officials at Gateway Science Academy say they are searching for a solution.

“We’re so pleased that he wants to stay here,” said Janet Moak, assistant principal at the school. “We take that as speaking to the quality that we have offered here at the charter school. We really want to support him in those efforts, but at this point, nothing has been finalized.”

Moak wouldn’t talk about what options are being considered. State law says flatly that “a charter school may not charge tuition,” so that avenue is out. Edmund could remain without the state reimbursing the school for his attendance, but Moak wouldn’t say whether that is a viable choice.

She did say that there is no deadline for a decision to be made, only that the school hopes to resolve it soon.

In the long range, how might the broader situation be changed to avoid future situations like Edmund’s? Glaser at VICC admits he doesn’t have a definitive answer. He notes that the current program won’t be allowed to continue forever, but he isn’t sure what will replace it, or who will draw up the rules.”

A charter school may not charge tuition — Missouri state law

“Would it be something that all the districts in the St. Louis metropolitan area could voluntarily agree to, with the approval of local boards of education?” he asked. “Would it take a federal court order? A legislative decision? I’m really not sure.”

….But, he noted, as schools move away from the traditional enrollment pattern of attending class where you live, and with a general orientation toward greater cooperation among St. Louis area government agencies, school districts could easily be included in whatever evolves. Never Forget Aaron Swartz; A Revolutionary Hero…

Three years ago this world was robbed of a beautiful life, a wonderful soul…his name, Aaron Swartz. It is a very emotional topic for me, I’d like to write more about him and about all the good he has without a doubt done for us, given to us; but right now I can’t find the words.

In the below video from “The Young Turks” we are given information on just how unjust, biased and discriminatory the prison sentences are. Of course with drug offenders, who should not be in prison either, the mandatory minimums are outrageous. But comparing what Aaron Swartz “did” -wanting to help people, understanding that education should be free; and so more- to other offenses that people would think carry more time than he was facing; but don’t.

Note, under 15% of prisoners are in for murder or sexual offenses, 95% of those last offenders will haunt the streets shortly after doing time, if they do in fact do time. The majority being drug offenders who are over 56% of the prison population. The reason I note this is because these laws he goes over make it seem the American government doesn’t have an agenda; but it does.

That can clearly be seen if you look at the numbers and the crimes; if you look at the man I deem a hero, Aaron Swartz; who was facing an outrageous amount of time for doing nothing more than trying to help make this world a better place. I do blame the government for his death; his suicide.

The government was afraid of the intelligence and awareness Aaron had. His gift mixed in with his intelligence and concern for social issues made him someone they feared because they can’t grasp it; they don’t desire to… Their mind and heart are in it for the money; the people are the last thing they care for.

And thus, we lost an amazing, amazing activist & caring, kind and brilliant man 3 years ago….

The Blatant, SAD Double Standard for Black & White Victims

Below is a brief video I mad out of frustration regarding how police brutality, racism and accountability are different things for every person depending mainly on the color of your skin. I can’t wrap my head around that thought, but anyway…
In it I talk about cases I’ll be going into more depth over in upcoming videos, as noted, I took a break to get this off my chest; but it’s truth and I think that’s easy to see. *Before I go any further, no child should die, no person regardless of age or race should be murdered. My point here is why is there such a major difference in reaction to the murdering of a white child and the murdering of a Black child? In this video I talk about previous cases regarding children whose lives were stolen by police, but we need only look to present day to see the difference in treatment between Black victims and white victims. That is a simple and plain fact.

The media [for-profit media] will try to slander the character of any Black victim, trying to brainwash those watching mindlessly into believing that the police were actually in the right. Instead of blindly accepting their opinion and “statements” why not look into the issue yourself if you must judge? Or better yet; why is it we can’t see with great clarity that no one, especially a child, should be murdered by the police?

And when a child or a person of any age is killed or beaten, why are we not holding the cops to a higher standard; why are they allowed to walk…so long as the child is not white that is.

Jeremy Mardis death is tragic and my heart goes out to his family. But Tamir Rice and countless others (currently what the main video I’m working on, will post soon) don’t get the same treatment, attention, respect or closure and that’s not right; that’s not justice! All deaths by cops should at the very least be treated as Jeremy’s tragic and premature death. But the majority are not; regardless of age or circumstance… It all comes down to race; and that is a huge problem. A huge problem we all need to unite and fight to change…Together.

This, needs to change…. No matter the race, color, gender, etc- no one should be killed. But, dealing with the reality that too many innocent lives are being taken by cops in America we must face the facts. Racism is very evident, cops should NOT BE ALLOWED TO MURDER OR BEAT ANYONE WHOM IS NOT WHITE; THEY SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO MURDER PERIOD! That’s my point.

The thumb nail photo brings tears to my eyes; I work with kids who confide things like this; my friends kids confide feelings like this… To see the site, please visit http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2015/01/cleveland_students_racism_viol.html#3

Google’s Donation To Help Fight Racism & Police Brutality

With so much negativity all it takes is something like this to make me feel a little more inspired. I probably am the last to hear about it but still, I’m going to share.

I like to think the donations and work Google does for social justice they are doing from the heart; from true concern and care for what is happening in the world; homelessness, racism, poverty and so forth. In the article to follow, it is announced Google will be donating $2.5 million to organizations fighting racism and police brutality.

Not everyone is so happy about it, which isn’t shocking. Sadly too many value money over life and it shows. Google and a small portion of others seem to disagree, though, thankfully. I don’t understand what the problem is; money is replaceable- people are not. If you have money and you believe in a righteous cause it is only right to help as you can. Those with differing views are the sort I have no desire to know. In my opinion Google’s actions are definitely worth giving gratitude towards, without a doubt.

“We want to give local nonprofits the resources and support needed to be bold and innovative in their approach to our region’s toughest social challenges, including those associated with racial injustice.”- Justin Steele, the regional head of giving at Google.org

Below is the news article, and again, to read up on their other projects check out www.google.org . Article and link follow.

Google is giving $2.35 million in grants to organizations fighting for racial justice in its backyard.

Google.org, the technology giant’s philanthropic branch, announced on Tuesday donations to three groups in the San Francisco Bay Area: the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, the Silicon Valley De-Bug and the Oakland Unified School District’s African American Male Achievement Program.

“Google is proud to support social innovators who are striving to make the Bay Area even better for everyone,” Justin Steele, the regional head of giving at Google.org, said in a statement. “We want to give local nonprofits the resources and support needed to be bold and innovative in their approach to our region’s toughest social challenges, including those associated with racial injustice.”

One grant will launch an economic hub called Restore Oakland, which will house worker training classes, programs around racial justice, health care and child care in the city of Oakland, San Francisco’s lower-income neighbor. Another will fund a rapid-response network led by Black Lives Matter movement co-founder Patrisse Cullors to identify and react to police brutality against people of color across the country.

Black Lives Matter- Help Identify Woman Behind Hateful Vandalism Spree

I’m not sure what people mean when they go on about not understanding the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ I’ve suffered through the arguments with ignorant, racist bigots who think saying Black Lives Matter means something hateful or disregarding the

deaths and beatings of white people. That’s insane and a few months back I made two videos in response to one of these fools I was ‘talking to’ online. Sorry but I’ve no better term than fool; that’s as nice as I can put it. If you desire, you can watch them here. The second one is I’ve put up first, above this text. The next one can be found below. for I think it sums up everything best. The first one is at the bottom, and I feel it has good points as well, I just think the first one needed to be the one I ended the conversation with the racist *#($ with. And I’m bringing up Black Lives Matter for a reason. There is a “person of interest” the cops are looking for regarding vandalism on a large scale targeting the Black Lives Matter movement. Click here to read the article and help identify her. Thank you!
