Few Answers to Anti Comments on my Abortion Video :-)

Things have been so busy lately it wasn’t until tonight I checked my YouTube account and found some surprise comments on my abortion video (see below)

I received some very kind messages and comments, as well as ones that made me feel as if maybe I can make a difference sharing my story; the number of people doesn’t matter. To the people who are kind and interested, I owe so many thanks to.

Of course, I got plenty of hate comments too from “Anti’s” – I didn’t read them, have no intention to, I deleted them but I did skim over enough to see some of what they asked so I’m going to give yet another brief post about why having an abortion is not evil, for those who have very thick heads. Let’s begin!

The Attack on Abortion and Women Continues, Will Only Harm Women

So, let’s be honest; this isn’t about health care, this is about closing a great deal of abortion clinics and following the majority of anti’s religious beliefs, not on the healthcare of women nor on the rights of women.

Last night, Texas state Governor Rick Perry (R), a disgrace to any progression in women’s rights I believe, forced through SB5 which if passed by the House will close all but five abortion clinics in Texas. How is the closing of health clinics going to help better the health of women? Since he has proposed dozens (literally) of anti-choice bills and been denied them all, he forced SB5 to go through at a time and in a manner under which new procedural rules apply, leaving democrats; i.e., those blocking, at a major disadvantage.

My Rant on Pro-Choice & Pro-Abortion Proceedings…

I can’t believe the depths some people are willing to lower themselves in order to make others (in this case, women and also R__ survivors) feel like they are beneath them or lower than them. Tonight as I watch the tweets roll in regarding #SB5 and #HB60 for the rights of women in Texas to have choices I’ve seen some amazing, truly mind blowing things. Taking health care clinics down around the state of Texas, the second largest state in the U.S. is going to make things “safer for women”…no, not in any way, shape or form.

As I’ve noted before I do not regret my late-term abortion one bit. It was a hard choice for me simply because I would have liked to had a family but deep inside I know and knew then it was wrong; not just for me, but for the fetus as well. It would have been a crime to bring anyone into this world, and I couldn’t handle the pregnancy, anyhow. But that’s my business to be discussed another time, perhaps.

I know if I am to be a good journalist and writer I should refrain from calling names but I assure you, in this case “idiot” is the best and nicest name I can conjure up. This evening this idiotic anti posts tweets stating something of the like: (paraphrasing but this is pretty accurate:)

Another pro-choice, aka, pro-life post from yours truly. Today I said one of many reasons I support abortion. Of course, anti-choice/anti-life attackers came to debate. I don’t debate online, especially on twitter, because it’s pointless. Same argument that has no legitimacy and what they were saying was not even relevant to what I said. Because of a serious family issue I was in no mood to argue. But now, I think I will sit here and write a nice rant for all to read.

Quick Update Post :-) -I’m baaaack!

Just a quick update- between being more sick than usual for a few days and personal issues, my blog has suffered greatly from lack of post… Soo, I just wanted to post this to let any readers I still have know how grateful I am for waiting 🙂 and also to say regular posting will begin tonight 🙂

There are so many issues to discuss and share it can seem a bit daunting when first back- but I will get it done! So…though many may not even have noticed my absence, I thought I’d just drop in a quick update that I’m not going anywhere 😛

Update

Haven’t been able to post past few days but rest assured I will be back with a vengeance soon- be prepared for a lot of facts that have me filled with rage regarding the so called “war on drugs” a the american prison “system” and how horrible things are. We all know it’s bad but I continue to fall more and more into disbelief and anger when facts of abuse and harm are validated.

Life is More Complex Than Anti-Choicer’s Seem to Understand.

This is just the first part of what I will expand on later this morning, I’m way too emotional right now over the seriousness of this topic, and the lack of empathy, understanding and care received. So, this blog is not finished but I think it gives the idea. I will re-post it as a new blog later today when it is completed as I intend on putting in a lot more detail and information. For now, I’m just gonna speak from my heart.

Before I begin, a song based on a true story (stories)- and it makes me wonder … a lot of things about how the anti-choice, anti-woman mind works.

No pity or sympathy or whatever else wanted this is just real and relevant as hell to why I believe the way I do.

Daily Prompt: Personal Space

I write more so for my own enjoyment than to gain readers, I believe which is probably a fault. The articles I post or write are so vital to me, but at the same time, I can’t water down my anger and outrage over certain issues anymore than I can sugar-coat my strong feelings for women’s rights and my hatred for racism. With that said… I suppose it is my personal space above all else because I say what I want to say, I don’t expect anyone to read it but I am so honored and thrilled when people do… I also love meeting like minds.

The line of it being *my* personal space, however, as opposed to an interactive debate forum is pretty much said in that sentence… I don’t really debate on my page as I feel they can go and write their own post disagreeing on their page. There is a reason for this, and the reason is while I don’t mind healthy debate, I actually enjoy it; I can’t stand hatred and mindless comments.

If we disagree that’s fine, that’s how life is. But I don’t tolerate hateful comments or comments that would hurt other people who read my blog and may be in some way hurt by what is said. Generally I don’t respond to hateful words but I have my weak moments.

I am a very opinionated person, so it is very hard for me to keep my site “attractive” to readers. The things I write about are very touchy subjects, I feel, and I do respect all who come to my page as long as they aren’t there to be mean. I believe our websites/blogs should be a place of self-expression, or in my case, news… News with my opinion all over it. That’s okay; somewhere out there is a page just like mine in idea, but totally the opposite in content. I feel it is a bit intrusive of readers to post hateful, mindless or untrue comments in an attempt to mislead readers or hurt readers (as no matter how mean they are, they no longer hurt me).

So, in sum, as long as disagreement is kept at an adult level and healthy my personal space is open… But the moment they bring negative hate or anything of the like into it…it becomes much like my own personal room and I want to be able to shut them out. Outside of “my world” they can say anything they want in their space, but not in my space… In my space, I can’t tolerate hate when so many of the things I write about bring sadness and tragedy due to mindless, ignorant hate.

There is enough hatefulness in this world, enough judgment. So, unless you can say something productive, on my page, in my “world”, don’t say anything at all because you won’t be approved 😛

Another #Video to Give Thanks to All Who Help #Women & Resources Regarding #Abortion

This is just a random video I felt compelled to make after the last article I posted. People put their lives at risk, go out of their way, give up their time; all to help other human beings, other women, get through what society tries to make them feel guilty over: Abortion.

Thank you… to the doctors, to the fundraisers, to the donators, to the true friend(s), to the staff, to the volunteers, to those who stay up all night to answer phone calls of nervous women who know the right answer and just need a bit of reassurance and kindness.

So, here is my video of gratitude, I suppose… With me giving what I hope will stand as reminders to any and all other women who have had or are going to have an abortion that they are not evil, or bad. I know the likelihood the woman I spoke to the night before mine will see this is pretty slim… But I do hope that if you are any of the things listed above, anyone who offers love and support to women during, before, and/or after the abortion… This thank you is to you as well. It’s not much but, it is from the bottom of my heart…
