16 Year Old Forced Before Anti-Choice Judge; Forced into Pregnancy – ACT NOW!

I haven’t been on here or keeping my word regarding videos on here for awhile… A lot has happened but all that will soon be revealed; please hang in there and thank you to all the readers I have who put up with these bouts of … dryness.

This makes absolutely no sense; I do not understand first of all why anyone should have to go before the legal system to access medical care in the first place! No one has the right to tell a woman, especially a child (and a teenager is technically a child; far too young to be a mother), that she HAS to keep the pregnancy. That is just as bad as saying she HAS to abort. This girl lives in a foster home and probably knows the horrors that go on, and does not wish that upon her child- just as I didn’t and still wouldn’t wish it upon any child. (a fetus is not a child, I am speaking after birth).

She should have the right to make her own choice, not some religious nut with no regard for REAL human life. Judge Bataillon sounds like a typical “christian” person in a position of power… Why and how can we allow this?! We can’t… Stand up for our rights!! In any way…

Below is her story and a link, please sign and share…

A 16-year-old woman living in foster care in Nebraska was forced to go before an anti-choice judge to get permission for a legal abortion — and was denied.

Judge Peter Bataillon — who has a long history of anti-choice activism such as helping Operation Rescue protesters beat criminal charges and running a Right to Life group in Omaha — asked Emily* if she knew that “when you have the abortion it’s going to kill the child inside you.” Then he ruled against her on the grounds of insufficient maturity.

It was clear from the moment that Emily pled her case that Judge Bataillon had no intention of giving her a fair trial. We’ve filed a petition demanding a state investigation into whether he has ruled impartially on this and other abortion-related cases. Will you join us?

If you agree that Judge Bataillon sounds like he’s still reliving his days of defending Operation Rescue activists against stalking charges or can’t forget the time he spent as president of his local Right To Life organization, sign the petition now demanding a review of his qualifications for office.

A Woman in Desperate Need of Abortion Needs Help – & Fast – Please Read & Share!

We as women all need, and deserve, better treatment than this. Any lifelife meaning a human not a fetus which is not an infant or baby until born- is worth more than any amount of money. But the government and religious zealots feel otherwise, as we see. Abortion should be legal, safe and free. But because our health care system and our government are failing us, we as a people need to join together and help others, even if it’s only a dollar…

I talk about my abortion a lot but honestly had I not been able to have mine I would have taken my life. I note this so often because I think and fear for women and girls who are in the same shoes I was in, but in a state that doesn’t legally allow abortions. I was lucky enough to have the Lilith Fund and Whole Women’s Health help me fund my late term abortion. But the Lilith Fund was struggling before Texas government took women’s health care decades backwards. Now, they need your help more than ever.

However, this post is about a woman whom is going by the name of Alice.

Alice* needs your help

She’s already on her way to the clinic for a procedure she doesn’t know if she can afford.

Alice just learned about her pregnancy two days ago, and her Medicaid insurance will not cover an abortion. To add to the complexity, she has been on medicines for several months now that are dangerous to pregnancy. Now, she’s had to leave her children to travel to Washington, D.C., for an abortion she’s still $2,800 away from being able to afford.

Alice has raised money from friends and family, from her local abortion funds, and the clinic itself has even chipped in, but she still needs your help this weekend. Can she count on you?

Please visit the site here and donate if you are able; if not, please spread this page and make sure she gets the help and care she deserves and should have the right to, if it were not for the failure of the American government.

Abortion is a Not Evil and Anti’s Are Not Pro-Life

I don’t understand why more people are not upset and outraged over how this world is; from police brutality to lack of women’s rights as well the stigma placed upon important things such as abortion, mental illness, etc.  What I am currently furious about is the term “Pro-Life” being used by anti-choicers. Here is why.

Abortion Questions & Updates on Upcoming Projects -Video!

Just another video by yours truly 🙂 discussing upcoming writings, research I am currently doing as well as projects that I’ll soon be sharing.

One of these projects is an upcoming video- I am not a medical doctor so I don’t offer any medical advice however based on what I know about abortion as well as based on my own personal experience, I am asking any woman who is considering abortion, be it late term or with the abortion pill, to please send me questions via youtube or to my email.

I have enough questions to answer in video now, but in case there is anything I am missing I think I’ll wait a day or two and see if anyone sends in any new questions not already received. Some Continue reading Abortion Questions & Updates on Upcoming Projects -Video!

Please Help ProChoice Doctor After Clinic Bomber Attacker…

Dr. Neuhaus lost her medical license when a convicted clinic bomber sued her… Now, she’s being forced to pay for the legal proceedings as well as save her family property. Please help her, whether it be a donation or share… She is a hero and a victim of a “prolife” attack; she needs justice… Please see here for more info….

Donate and/or share… Please. She is for women; now let us stand for her….

” Info below, can be found on the above link as well…

This is what the war on abortion access looks like in Kansas: betraying the confidence of medical patients, pretending that forcing 10 year olds to birth rapists’ babies is no big deal, bankrupting doctors, driving one man into a frenzy of anti-choice hate so much so that he murders someone, and allowing convicted terrorists to run the whole thing.

You would not think, for example, that a convicted clinic bomber would have a lot of traction with a state medical board. In Kansas, however, Cheryl Sullenger was able to set in motion a case against Dr. Tiller’s former colleague, Dr. Ann Kristin Neuhaus, that in 2012 took away her license to practice medicine, and has driven her to the brink of financial ruin, and may well stick her with the entire cost of the proceedings against her—a whopping $92,672—should she lose her appeal. Was Sullenger a patient of Dr. Neuhaus who had been injured? The parent or spouse of one? No. Continue reading Please Help ProChoice Doctor After Clinic Bomber Attacker…

Raspberry Stand, Lemonade Stand, Are Now Treated as Criminal Activity; Regardless of Age. What’s Going on America?

” What was once considered a healthy, educational and entrepreneurial childhood activity in America has now seemingly become criminal behavior. Children across the country selling anything from cupcakes to lemonade are being shaken down for cash or threatened for not having the “proper papers.” ” (see below)

While we are on topics of the government and society abusing children, let me go ahead and repost this ASININE story. In sum, remember lemonade and other stands kids put up to raise money? That now is something the government has been, and still is, viewing as profitable; even to them.

Though in this article more than this story is listed, this is the most recent (to my knowledge).

So, in short, a 12 year old boy set up a raspberry stand (they were grown on his families farm, as a side note) to save up for a mini motorcycle. The young Tayson Weeks was recovering from a previous accident which ended with him in the hospital, due to a concussion. His plans for the summer was to learn how to make money via this raspberry stand, and save up for a pit bike. Wait a second!  Money?

61 Days Left: Where are the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in Texas? [MAP]

Something for all women to remember. Please stay aware and safe. These places are not here to help anyone, they are what I would refer to as a FAKE center. And they are all over Texas, sadly.

In Texas and other states, anti-choice activists will try and trick women seeking abortion care into carrying their pregnancies to term. To do this, they often lead them to a fake clinic called a Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC).

CPCs are funded primarily through anti-choice license plates sold by the State of Texas, but some have even received federal funding as of July, 2006. These places often offer pregnancy tests on site, and if the test comes out positive, they will use coercive and deceptive tactics to convince women to continue the pregnancy rather than discussing all options. They typically oppose the use of birth control and condoms, give false information about the effectiveness of those methods, and will preach that abstinence is the best option even for someone who is already pregnant. Most Crisis Pregnancy Centers are religiously affiliated and are operated by massive anti-choice organizations like Care Net

Update on Upcoming Project(s) RE: Women’s Health, Abortion & The Forgotten…

…And the forgotten. That was me, searching for answers, looking for other women who felt as I was feeling during pregnancy. I searched the internet for hours, not knowing the terms to look for, being faced with ridiculous and religious hate posts instead discouraged me from seeking out other women who had been in (or still was) in the place I was in.

I was then pregnant for the first time, and didn’t fully come to terms with this reality until a few weeks in when I began to feel the changes and realize me and my husband’s life would change forever. Not only this, but it strengthened my flashbacks and other mental issues. I continued to search for anyone to talk to about everything; the situation I was in.

But depression during pregnancy still was something the majority of people only spoke of as being “antenatal depression” and I could find very little at the time I needed it most on mental health, pregnancy and abortion. I wanted my pregnancy done, or my life over.

So, the reason I am going to write on depression, mental health and abortion is because that was a huge part of my story, and I hope to offer women a place on my site to see they are not alone nor are they evil for how they feel.

In my opinion, why a woman has an abortion is her own, and that’s all there is to it. If it is right for you for, reason does not matter. It doesn’t mean you are any more right or wrong for having an abortion. The above photo/quote is the truth about abortion for it is no one’s business but your own, and abortion is a medical procedure; nothing more.

But the reason I am speaking about myself at the moment is again, because Continue reading Update on Upcoming Project(s) RE: Women’s Health, Abortion & The Forgotten…

10 Myths Regarding Birth Control ….

This is taken from Women’s Health Magazine but is something I think everyone -especially women- need to know and remember… In the future I hope to have a section up dedicated solely to myths regarding not only birth control but also abortion, health care as well as police brutality and the war on drugs… Until then, here is the first myth exposing article 🙂 link to original post at bottom.

Myth #1: The Pill makes you gain weight
Reality: The truth is, it might depend on your prescription. In 2011, researchers at the Cochran Database System Review analyzed 49 studies that compared a variety of birth control methods with placebos and found no evidence that birth control causes weight gain. However, a 2009 study in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology found that women using the Depo-Provera shot gained an average of 11 pounds and increased their body fat by 3.4 percent over three years, though they’re not sure what caused this effect. If you’re concerned about gaining weight, talk to your doctor about the best option for you.

Myth #2: You don’t need to be on birth control if you’re breastfeeding.
Reality: This very common myth is totally false—and probably to blame for many unplanned pregnancies—says Mary Jane Minkin, M.D., clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine. The truth: breastfeeding exclusively (without supplementing with formula) can suppress the hormones from the pituitary gland that make you ovulate, says Minkin. So while there’s certainly a dip in your fertility at this time, it’s nowhere near foolproof. “And if you breastfeed sometimes while supplementing with formula, all bets are off,” says Minkin.

Myth #3: You have to take the Pill at the same time every day.
Reality: Despite what you may have heard, taking the Pill at the same time each day does not make it more effective, says Vanessa Cullins, M.D., Vice President for External Medical Affairs at Planned Parenthood. This common belief is only true if you’re taking the mini-pill (a progestin-only birth control pill which must be taken at the same time every day), however the majority of women take the regular birth control pill, which contains a combination of estrogen and progestin. That said, you might want to stick to a strict schedule if you have trouble remembering to take it or if you’re on a very low-dose form of the Pill, as you may experience some breakthrough bleeding, says Alyssa Dweck, M.D., co-author of V is For Vagina.

Myth #4: Being on the Pill for a long time will make it harder to get pregnant later.
Reality: It might seem hard to believe, but it’s possible to get pregnant as soon as you stop taking birth control, says Minkin. This holds true for all methods of hormonal contraceptives, with the exception of the Depo-Provera shot. It can take up to 6-9 months for all of the hormones in the shot to leave your body before your fertility is restored. That said, it’s still possible to get pregnant during this time, so don’t count on this buffer period for contraception. The bottom line: Birth control will not screw with your fertility long term, says Minkin.

Myth #5: Newer forms of birth control aren’t as safe as the older brands.
Reality: You may have heard that newer forms of birth control—like Yasmin, Yaz, or NuvaRing—come with more hormones and more health risks than the old standbys. The truth is, the newer the birth control, the fewer hormones it contains, says Minkin. And while some studies have shown a slightly higher risk of blood clots in women taking newer forms of birth control, the increase is extremely low and still much lower than your risk of developing a clot while pregnant, says Minkin.

Myth #6: You shouldn’t get an IUD unless you’ve already had children.
Reality: Anyone looking for super-effective pregnancy prevention should talk to their gyno about the IUD—even if they haven’t had a kid yet. The reason for this misconception is that some forms of the IUD (like Mirena and ParaGuard) are generally recommended for women with children, since your cervix and uterus are slightly larger after giving birth, which should make implantation and use more comfortable, says Minkin. However, a newer IUD called Skyla is slightly smaller and delivers a lower dose of hormones, making it perfect for non-moms, too. Plus, the IUD is 99 percent effective at preventing pregnancy—so don’t knock it just because you’re childless.

Myth #7: It’s unhealthy to use birth control to skip your period.
Reality: It may seem sneaky and taboo to manipulate your monthly flow by taking two months of pills back to back—but the truth is, it’s totally safe. “If you are a good candidate to be on birth control in the first place—you’re healthy, you don’t have high blood pressure that’s uncontrolled, you’re not over 35 or a smoker—then you are indeed a candidate for fiddling around with your cycle,” says Minkin. Just be prepared for some breakthrough bleeding, which is more likely if you just started a new pill, if you’re on a tri-phasic pill (like Ortho Tri-Cyclen), or if you delay it for more than a month or two. Click here for more tips on safely skipping your period.

Myth #8: Using a condom seriously diminishes his pleasure.
Reality: Forget what you’ve heard about condoms screwing with your sex life. Both men and women enjoy sex with condoms just as much as they do without them, according to a recent study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine. So if you’re looking for a hormone-free birth control method, don’t be swayed by the myth that condoms can kill the moment. Check out these pleasure-enhancing options, and keep a stash at your place. That way, you’ll be prepared if a guy tries to use one of these lines to avoid wrapping it up.

Myth #9: All birth control is now free.
Reality: While the Affordable Care Act is changing the way you’re charged for birth control, that doesn’t necessarily mean that all contraception is totally gratis all the time. There are still a few glitches, and you may need to check with your employer or insurance agency to find out what is covered and when, says Minkin. For instance, your insurance may only cover a generic version of your pill or they may not cover anything until you renew your plan. And according to final rules passed in June 2013, religious organizations may be exempt from covering birth control for their employees.

Myth #10: Your body needs a break from birth control.
Reality: The only reason to take a vacation from your contraceptives is if you’re hoping to get pregnant. Other than that, you can stay on your chosen method of birth control for as long as you want, says Minkin. The only exception: Depo-Provera, the birth control shot. Because it’s been linked to a greater potential for bone mineral loss, the FDA advises that women only take it continuously for two years.

And while there are plenty of health benefits from being on the Pill, a 1996 analysis of more than 50 studies found that taking birth control was associated with a slightly increased risk of breast cancer, though the risk disappeared after being off the Pill for 10 years. More research is needed, but it’s worth talking to your gyno if you’re concerned.
