This 10 year old child omg how I wish I could hug him! He reminds me of so many children I know as well as too many children I’ve counseled… Racism doesn’t exist? I had some idiot trying to tell me the KKK isn’t a threat; call these white ‘supremacists’ idiots what you want, they are all the same and MUST BE STOPPED!
I’ve lived in Newark off and on, and I love the community… I’ve never seen a child afraid of the cops except, sadly, Black children. From friends, to family and to the kids I worked with and those I still work with… Why is it only the precious Black children being traumatized if there is ‘no racism’?!?!? I HATE THAT THERE IS RACISM, but it’s REAL denying it does NOTHING!
To this precious child… I don’t know what to say; he is the embodiment of so many I have worked with… And it enrages me; it enrages me that the cops can get away with it because he is Black! AND WE KNOW THAT IS TRUE!!!!!! Please watch. I’m gonna have to make a video on this in a bit.
While in Flint, MI, the people are struggling under the weight of an unjust, racist system that allows the government and companies to use land near mostly Black and/or poor neighborhoods to be exposed to not only unsafe air pollution, a less than satisfactory quality of living; but also toxic waste, lead -as we see in Flint, MI, where President Obama has just declared a state of emergency and former resident Michael Moore has an ongoing petition going to arrest Governor Synder for his “premeditated actions” of his “administrators,” Mr. Moore goes on to speak more truth by then tragically but truthfully stating:
“…you have effectively poisoned, not just some, but apparently ALL of the children in my hometown of Flint, Michigan.
And for that, you have to go to jail.
To poison all the children in an historic American city is no small feat.Even international terrorist organizations haven’t figured out yet how to do something on a magnitude like this.
But you did. Your staff and others knew that the water in the Flint River was poison — but you decided that taking over the city and “cutting costs” to “balance the budget”was more important than the people’s health (not to mention their democratic rights to elect their own leaders). So you cut off the clean, fresh glacial lake water of Lake Huron that the citizens of Flint (including myself) had been drinking for decades and, instead, made them drink water from the industrial cesspool we call the Flint River — a body of “water” where toxins from a dozen General Motors and DuPont factories have been dumped for over a hundred years.”
Michael Moore was in Flint, MI, discussing the water crisis, calling on President Obama for help and protesting with the people against those in control over this tragic and sick attempt to put money before humanity.
I can tell you one damn thing, had this been the woman whom I call mother; the woman who took me in and did her best for me, I’d have done the same thing. Who do these cops think they are speaking to a woman as they do, treating this woman as they do; then beating up a teenager who can’t even legally drive yet, as they all too often seem to enjoy doing?!
My blood is racing over this; so I’m just going to copy and paste, and post link at the bottom. In my last post I said all I can say about these hate-filled, racist, sexist, murdering, abusive cops.
Oh, again let me note; though the job of a cop doesn’t even fit into the top 10 most years for most dangerous job, this year, 2015, has been even more safe of a year for them. It has been a sickly brutal one for those they claim they are to serve and protect. And they go on a paid vacation which they will soon be relieved from and allowed to return back to their normal duties.
I was given a miracle in the form of a dear friend whom I call my family. There is no way to thank this soul for their kindness…I can only hope they know how thankful I am for their care and help…. Currently, I am in need of a little money to escape the place I currently am. My sweet friend saw the abuses and wanted to help me get back to safety. In addition, knowing how deeply I desire to help others he put together a perfect GoFundMe page in my name, and I couldn’t be more honored or thankful…
I hate asking for help, I hate asking for money, but I am in a desperate situation and if anyone can find it in their hearts to help, I’ll do anything possible as my thanks… Additionally, the entire money isn’t just for me; once I’m back in safety I plan on helping other survivors and/or victims of abuse. Ahmed Mohammed, 14, of Dallas, Texas is a clearly highly intelligent and gifted kid; a young man who should never be deemed anything less than an inspiration to others, especially by his teachers. Ahmed is an inventor; he creates, builds and fixes things. It is inspiring to see a young man wanting to learn, grow and share his creativity and innovations.
He created a clock (see his video below) which he took to school to show his teacher. Instead of getting feedback or inspiration or sparking a discussion on further projects, the intelligent teacher felt they needed to alert the police. After all, it could be a bomb…….
Ahmed says at the end of the following video that this unwarranted treatment made him feel like he “wasn’t human”; like he was a “criminal”. No child should be made to feel that way, especially one who was simply sharing his personal creation with his teacher. Isn’t exploring, experimenting and creating all a part of the learning process? Isn’t what Ahmed did exactly what any good teacher would hope their student(s) would do? If I had been his teacher, I would have been honored and proud that my student had such talent; not to mention that he felt he could share it with me.
The charges are dropped, but that’s not the point of this post. The fact that he was arrested, detained and interrogated is wrong, abuse and racism plain and simple. Ignorant thinking and foolish judgment forced a child to experience what no one should have to face for being smart and being a creator.
While it is good, of course, that the unjust charges were dropped, it still is a traumatic event to put anyone through. At the very least the police as well as the school and especially the teacher owe Ahmed the most sincere apologies. This is just further proof that we have so much work to do in this racist, biased, bigot filled country.
Tell the police and Ahmed’s school: “Curiosity and an interest in science are not a crime! Stop harassing Ahmed Mohammed, do not bring any charges against him, and remove his suspension from his school record.”
There is no reason for these cops in California’s behavior. First, teens are teens, people are people; we all have different personalities which we should not be punished for if it is not hurting anyone -just as this teen was hurting not one soul. Even so, if he had been an adult instead of a teen still he does nothing to justify the officers use of excessive force; the hitting, the use of their baton on the unarmed, non-dangerous young man…especially granted they had already detained him. No officer’s life is at risk, there is absolutely no excuse for these cops behavior.
I’d also like to note, to those of you who think cops are in danger; those who think cops are risking their lives… I’d just like to note the year 2015 has -to no ones surprise- been the safest year for police in America in decades. That’s not to say they were in grave danger in recent years, however. Being a police officer in America isn’t now, nor previously has it even been in the top 5-10 most dangerous jobs.
Again; I don’t care what these cops give to the public as the reason(s) for the unnecessary actions; this kid is no threat and this behavior by men whom swear to serve and protect are uncalled for…Just as countless other kids and teens have been no threat in the past, yet still the police felt the need to use excessive and too often deadly force. In the below video of one of the latest attacks on an unarmed youth by America’s finest, aka our law enforcement; we watch as 9 overly aggressive cops hitting and forcefully ‘detaining the youth’ for the horrible crime of jay walking.
What makes it even more tragic is my being able to note this teen was lucky. Why? In the past (including recent) young males have been killed by the police for this same, “crime”.
If a cop is jumpy, he shouldn’t join law enforcement. If a cop is a coward whom must resort to violence or excessive force as we see in this video, he shouldn’t be a cop. Police in England shame the American police force. I have proof which I’ve compiled into a report which I need to post, along with a video. Rest assured; it will all be posted soon. I wish I could spend all of mine time doing this, sadly I can’t…for now.

The footage begins with the cop restraining the young man and then starting to beat the teenager with a baton.
“It’s a f**cking kid!” someone in the group of onlookers keeps shouting as the situation unfolds. “Get off him! He’s been jaywalking! Leave him alone, he didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Stop resisting!” the cop shouts, not paying any attention.
The boy is seen sitting in shock, with his face in his hands, with a group of passers-by watching. The cop who detained the guy apparently called for reinforcement as more cops arrive at the scene to detain the jaywalker.
Four police officers come up to the teen and wrestle him to the ground. Then another four law enforcers cordon off the scene from the public.
In the end, there are nine officers involved in detaining the jaywalker. Finally, the teenager is handcuffed and marched off to a police car.
Growing up in America (and I am sure other places in the world, as well) having a fake gun or a BB gun was pretty standard. Unless you’re not white. Racism is still so alive in America and that needs to be confronted.

In the wake of the Ferguson decision, with thousands of people in many cities protesting together, unified, I thought maybe this is when change is going to come… Maybe this really is what I’ve been fighting for for over a decade now. At least, it’s the start.
Then I read about Tamir Rice being killed; and my heart sunk. What’s more, this isn’t the only police brutality case during this time of course. But his tragic death is a hard hitting reminder that we need to keep demanding justice and equality. If cops have issue with people who aren’t white, they shouldn’t be a cop. If they are jumpy, they shouldn’t be a cop.Thinking violence and gun shots are the answer, especially to a child who is anything but threatening, is another big indication the police force should be the last place they belong.
Tonight I watched the recently released video footage. This is nothing new, I am sorry to say I have grown accustomed to watching these videos, however, something was different this time and it’s sort of startled me. This was a response that I received from my posting yesterday, entitled Bullying… Not so Cute., and I felt that I should share with my readers. This plea is from a father named Jeff…
Jeff says: “My son is an A student in advanced education in NC. He has been bullied to the point where he came home crying and didn’t want to go back to school. Of course my heart sunk; my son whom loves to go to school, came home and walked into the room, head hung low and his face covered.This is not how my son is, so I knew something was wrong. I asked him “son what’s the matter” he lowered his head even further and covered his face completely and began to cry. He was so humiliated and hurt,he could barely tell me what was wrong. My son whom I have been raising alone…
Death over a plant possession? Yes. Was it marijuana? I don’t know, it is claimed the teen went to flush it down the toilet as this trigger happy cop chased him. Maybe it was weed, maybe it wasn’t; either way, it was no threat to the cop. It was none of his business, and a bit off topic but still true, it is further evidence as to why weed should be legalized.
I don’t care what kind of plant it was, no one should have died. Sadly, however, a year ago an unarmed teen, Ramarley Graham, did. His life was taken very prematurely when Officer Richard Haste, without a warrant of any kind, followed Ramarley into his grandma’s apartment. It was here, in his home, Haste fatally shot the teen. Over a plant. The cop was facing manslaughter charges, rightfully so… But recently these charges were shamefully, yet unsurprisingly, dropped.
Too often people ask me why I am so outraged when cops use excessive force or kill (yes, seriously asked this more than once) when they have, “such stress and work such a dangerous job!”– My response to that is one of two things. First, police don’t have the most “dangerous job” you can read my research article on that HERE. Secondly, when you go to become a police officer you know the job is going to be a little stressful at times and probably will make you nervous. Based on that common sense my logic is, it’s your own fault -not the victims fault- if you commit a crime against them because you are nervous. So, if you are jumpy and trigger happy, why the hell are you a cop? If you are, it is your OWN fault. Of course you are stressed- IT’S HOW YOU HANDLE THE STRESS THAT MATTERS!
As I prove with FACTS below, believe it or not, there are some cops who aren’t power hungry, who don’t go out and beat, harass and kill for the sake of it. Additionally, there are police officers in other countries, such as the United Kingdom, who can arrest a person who actually is armed without killing or shooting him!
So why are the vast majority of American cops allowed to behave like animals when it is very obvious another way is possible? Even if there were no cops who understood this non-violent concept, there is no justification for violent behavior we see going on, especially in America.
The correct, morally just and humane way of patrolling is to do so non-violently and if you do behave violently you should be held to a higher standard than the rest of society. You’ve made an oath to society, one which currently you spit on. But that oath you made to serve and protect should mean if you do anything less, you are punished for your actions.
To serve and protect…; no where does it say to abuse and kill. Yet that is what too many American cops do, and what is worse… they usually get away with their crimes, sometimes they are even REWARDED…
I’m not in shock by all the horrors occurring by the police against innocent, undeserving people. I’ve worked in this field far too long to be surprised by anything like that, however, it still causes massive outrage and anger. It also has led me to wonder, if anti’s are so “pro-life” (which they aren’t but, IF) why are they fighting not only against women’s rights but ignoring the death being inflicted upon innocent PEOPLE- children are included in this. Children, not fetuses. An infant being abused matters, a child killed or beaten by police matters- but a woman going and making a choice of whether to remain pregnant or not, is (should be) no one’s concern other than her own!
(And oh yes, kids are killed in America by cops- it happens TOO OFTEN. Go through my blog or click here and simply scroll down,click next, look through them…And look at how many of the articles are about kids under 17 years old. Sadly, tragically, these are NOT even a fraction of all the murders and beatings happening not only to adults but to children as well.)
Adults matter just as much- and the frequency in which people are being beaten and killed by the cops -innocent people; unarmed people.
