Questions About Abortion ?

I have received quiet a few questions about my experience with abortion, so I am going to soon be making a video answering those questions… But before I begin, as noted in a previous post, I want to let others ask questions, if there is anyone who has them. Or, if you need someone to talk to, before or after, if you are considering abortion, if you are curious about what it is like (late term and pill), funding, procedure, etc… whatever question you may have… please, ask away and if it hasn’t already been asked I will do all I can to answer to the best of my ability.

I am not a professional but I have lived it and am a devoted researcher/writer/advocate for abortion…and I hope this will allow me to help someone else. NO*- I don’t think I’m special and i can’t tell you what is right for you; all i can say is follow your heart, you know the right answer for you.

Abortion doesn’t make you an evil or bad person. That much i DO know. i don’t need to know a persons reason for whatever it is, if it is right for you; then that’s all that matters. It doesn’t mean abortion is hard or easy; it varies person to person, situation to situation; and that is okay. No matter what you feel, or think you should or should not feel; it is okay. You’re not alone. Regardless of how you currently feel, you are NOT bad or anything negative based on your choice- anti’s may want you to believe that or feel that way… but it is not true.

And that fact is more than just an opinion. Science and medical evidence/research proves their is nothing murderous about it. Religious zealots can lie all they want, but it doesn’t make the facts any less true. Just as, if they are so pro life, one would think they would consider the quality of life for the mother.

Anyhow… There we are! More soon, still working on quiet a few articles to post… Thanks to any one who continues to stay as a follower, even when I’m quiet.

And though I don’t know everything I do know what is right for me… I do know what I believe to be right and wrong, (abortion is not a wrong to me, if you’ve not guessed)- and my main goal here is I want to do all I can to ensure women never feel evil for having a medical procedure. I hope I can offer even one person any amount of help or give them even a bit of peace with some of the answers I’ll be giving, based my experience. I am not ashamed, I do not regret it.

Abortion Questions & Updates on Upcoming Projects -Video!

61 Days Left: Where are the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in Texas? [MAP]

Something for all women to remember. Please stay aware and safe. These places are not here to help anyone, they are what I would refer to as a FAKE center. And they are all over Texas, sadly.

In Texas and other states, anti-choice activists will try and trick women seeking abortion care into carrying their pregnancies to term. To do this, they often lead them to a fake clinic called a Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC).

CPCs are funded primarily through anti-choice license plates sold by the State of Texas, but some have even received federal funding as of July, 2006. These places often offer pregnancy tests on site, and if the test comes out positive, they will use coercive and deceptive tactics to convince women to continue the pregnancy rather than discussing all options. They typically oppose the use of birth control and condoms, give false information about the effectiveness of those methods, and will preach that abstinence is the best option even for someone who is already pregnant. Most Crisis Pregnancy Centers are religiously affiliated and are operated by massive anti-choice organizations like Care Net

63 Days Left and We’re Still Standing with Texas Women.

Our Founder and CEO, Amy Hagstrom Miller, had the privilege of participating in a panel last night with Heather Busby of NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, Christian Cabazos of YWCA Greater Austin, Amelia Long of The Lilith Fund, and Paula X. Rojas of Vibrant Woman/Mama Sana. The panel served as a great discussion of what’s coming with House Bill 2, when the lawsuit will be announced, and what it means when physicians are required to have hospital admitting privileges. Though there wasn’t time to answer everyone’s questions, the overall atmosphere was upbeat, productive, and it seemed that the discussion helped many people find peace of mind.

Research by Gov. Regarding Abortion Proves Anti’s & Government Are Using Lies/Myths to Scare Women

“Based on the evidence provided by states themselves, it is more than a little misleading for the House Judiciary Committee to suggest that newborn children are being murdered by abortion providers with regularity and abandon; it is myth-making and fear-mongering.“

As I always say: abortion is not murder! Abortion doesn’t make you a bad person, regardless of your reason. Do what is best for you; what  you know in your heart to be right.

Gosnell does not represent the vast majority of abortion providers. Yet, anti-choicers seem to be so very eager to make the claim that he in fact is; which is disrespectful and demeaning to all the real providers…not to mention, it is a full blown lie. Yes, looking out for fake clinics is very important. Fake clinics (click there for more information) such as Clinic Pregnancy Centers, Birthright, and Pregnancy Aid, are the most well known and anyone confronted by someone working with them should turn around and walk away. I have compiled an ongoing list of abortion resources for all different kinds of situations and locations, as well as funding help… this can be found by clicking here.

I am going to copy and past over research compiled into a beautiful article/essay explaining exactly why the MYTH that abortion is murder is just that… a lie, a tactic to control people and their view on what is real and what is not by using fear tactics and lies. Don’t be misinformed.

Update on Upcoming Project(s) RE: Women’s Health, Abortion & The Forgotten…

…And the forgotten. That was me, searching for answers, looking for other women who felt as I was feeling during pregnancy. I searched the internet for hours, not knowing the terms to look for, being faced with ridiculous and religious hate posts instead discouraged me from seeking out other women who had been in (or still was) in the place I was in.

I was then pregnant for the first time, and didn’t fully come to terms with this reality until a few weeks in when I began to feel the changes and realize me and my husband’s life would change forever. Not only this, but it strengthened my flashbacks and other mental issues. I continued to search for anyone to talk to about everything; the situation I was in.

But depression during pregnancy still was something the majority of people only spoke of as being “antenatal depression” and I could find very little at the time I needed it most on mental health, pregnancy and abortion. I wanted my pregnancy done, or my life over.

So, the reason I am going to write on depression, mental health and abortion is because that was a huge part of my story, and I hope to offer women a place on my site to see they are not alone nor are they evil for how they feel.

In my opinion, why a woman has an abortion is her own, and that’s all there is to it. If it is right for you for, reason does not matter. It doesn’t mean you are any more right or wrong for having an abortion. The above photo/quote is the truth about abortion for it is no one’s business but your own, and abortion is a medical procedure; nothing more.

Plans for Resource Pages for Victims of Domestic Abuse & The Like

Over the next week I will be working on numerous projects as well as attending some personal business, but as I can, I am working on putting up more info, resources, links, hotlines, shelter locations and the like for abused women and men in North America as well as all over the world.

Right now both pages are a bit of a mess, please bare with me as I do this. Regardless of where you are from, if you have a page I either have not listed or probably would not know about regarding abuse, rape, abortion (helpful pro-abortion ONLY) please comment or email for it to be included…

I have been impacted pretty much by everything I write about on this site in one way or another. I also know how hard it is to find resources, especially when in distress. My hope and goal for the pages on my site are to provide a “one stop” for people in need. Please bare with me as I work on building these pages up.

In the near future, I will be creating a “sister” page to this site dedicated solely to racism, the prison industry and the war on the people, aka, the war on drugs as well as drug and legal information. One step further, I also would like a mental health page up….But one step at a time, aye? 🙂

Thanks again to all the readers who have stayed with me as I have been going through this silent spell, and a huge thanks to the new ones also… I will return to my normal writing self soon, hopefully with a lot of improvements!

 

An Update: New Book, Essays, Videos to Come…

It has been quiet some time since I last posted on here, but there is a reason. Besides life, I have been plotting my new book(s), essays and other projects. As important as it is for me to focus on the latest news, especially regarding police brutality and abortion, however I want to do more in depth research and writings regarding certain topics I will list below.

Since prior to even being able to write I dreamed of being a writer. That passion and love has never faded, only grown. Research and writing both are in my soul and it is truly what I hope to do for a living for it isn’t a job, rather a blessing.

Currently, I am working on an essay which discusses the brain of infants and how abuse/neglect/etc impacts us as adults. In addition, I am working on a book about the so called War on Drugs and ways we could improve addiction and even dealing.

I am also working on rehabilitation projects for drug users, most specifically on Heroin, the long term impacts that no one discusses and the latest research on how to help addicts. Finally, I am compiling a presentation and essay regarding abortion, quality of life and women’s rights.

I know these topics seem a bit broad, but there is so much to do and so little time.

I have many other projects planned, but for now these are the ones I am working on and I hope so desperately will impact others in a positive way.  One upcoming project is to do with domestic violence/abuse and mental health (no relation).

Sadly, because I can’t do all of this, volunteer and work I neglect my blog at times and that hurts me as it truly is another passion of mine. As much as I would love to have a website/blog that brings in money so I can get by while doing the things I love the most [i.e., research, writing- exposing truth(s)] it sadly doesn’t pay. I don’t want to be rich, I just would like to be able to eat and keep my internet on so I can continue the research I so love doing. All I need is just enough to get by.

I am going to add a donation button, I don’t expect anything but if anyone does make a donation so that I can make my dream of being a writer/researcher possible, I will be eternally grateful. I also am more than willing to do freelance graphic design, writing, and things of the like for those interested. I want to live life exposing truth, researching, writing, learning… I don’t want handouts; I am more than happy to work for money, if anyone is willing to give me a chance.

Back to the topic!

If I am able to begin making even a bit of money here and with my current projects I will be able to spend a lot more time on here and that is something I long for. I have plans for my page that I just have no time to get around to due to the other projects and life, but I am so desperate for work, freelance, donations; anything.

Last but not least this is not me saying this blog is shutting down; far from it. I just want all readers who have stood by me to know I am trying my very hardest to balance it all and in time I hope to be able to have the career and more free time to spend on my blog.
